The RISKS are REAL: The Truth About Fentanyl & Fake Pills virtual school assembly is being produced for middle and high schools to address critical issues related to drug misuse, which is a growing concern throughout the United states. This educational program takes a proactive approach, empowering students with the facts and skills they need to make smart, safe, and informed choices. As fentanyl and fake pills continue to spread, recent data on youth drug misuse and fentanyl poisoning highlights just how important these messages have become.
The rise in fake pills designed to look like legitimate prescription medications has become a serious public health concern. These fake pills are made with fentanyl and other dangerous substances but are crafted to resemble common prescriptions such as oxycodone, Xanax, or Adderall. Their convincing appearance can lead people to mistakenly believe they are safe, putting countless lives at risk.

Are parents/guardians invited to watch the program?
Registered schools are welcome to share the link with parents/guardians. We ask that only registered classrooms participate in any interactive segments.
How can we watch the program from our classroom?
We will send the link to the registered school contacts.
How long is the program?
The virtual program will be 60 minutes in length.
What if there is a snow day or weather delay in my area?
Because we are broadcasting live, the program will begin promptly at 11:00 AM (Central Time). If there is a snow day or delay we encourage all registered schools and/or classrooms to share the link with students so that they can log on at home.
Who do I contact if I am having issues connecting to the live program?
First, please check with your school’s AV tech as soon as possible to confirm you are able to access this website. The program will be streamed directly from this site. You will receive a test link prior to the program to confirm you can connect!
